ALMELO, The Netherlands, April 24, 2012 – Aeronamic wins Honeywell long-term contract for a new Mega Housings casting-to-hog-out program including enhanced surface treatment and assembly for various aircraft platforms.
The initial manufacturing-engineering and production set-up will be carried out in Almelo. Full production will be completed in the Aeronamic new Engineering & Production satellite in Sibiu, Romania where extensive in-house manufacturing capability allows us the flexibility to coordinate the many machining requirements to support the complex precision castings. Another step in the global supply chain management and marking the quest for maximum efficiency and reducing cost and lead times considerably.
Since 1989 Aeronamic designs, produces, and provides full service MRO for airflow valves, air turbine starters, centrifugal load compressors, cooling turbines and scroll compressors often as the single source supplier for commercial and military aircraft. Aeronamic actively participates in new programs such as the Airbus A350 and the Lockheed Martin F-35 and focuses on license production and co-development of critical (sub)systems and components. Aeronamic recently earned the AS9100C certificate for its facilities in Almelo, The Netherlands and its production satellite in Sibiu, Romania.
