Aeronamic selected for F-35 Power & Thermal Management System (PTMS) sustainment for all F-35s based in Europe and Asia-Pacific
Almelo, November 7th 2016 – US Government JPO (Joint Program Office) announced the selection of The Netherlands – Aeronamic as the PTMS Sustainment Center for the F-35 Europe and Asia-Pacific based fleet.
The PTMS is an ultra-power-dense on-board system that manages main engine start, (emergency) power generation, cabin pressurization and cooling. All European and Asia-Pacific operated F-35s – and the US F-35 fleet stationed in Europe – will be maintained by the Sustainment Center. The estimated F-35 service life is at least 40 years.
Aeronamic worked in the sustainment selection process in close co-operation with the Ministries of Defense and Economic Affairs.
“We are very proud to be chosen by the F-35 program to play an essential role in the sustainment of this crucial complex system, emphasizing Aeronamic’s position as a well-recognized high-tech Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul organization,” said Reinoud Siezen, VP Business Development & Programs at Aeronamic.
The sustainment activities will be executed by Aeronamic Services located at the Royal Netherlands Airforce Base ‘Logistiek Centrum Woensdrecht’ and are estimated to commence as early as 2019.
