SECRETARIES OF STATE FOR DEFENSE AND ECONOMIC AFFAIRS AND CLIMATE VISIT WOENSDRECHT AIR BASE

On May 30th 2018, Secretary of State for Defense –  Mrs Barbara Visser – and Secretary of State for Economic Affairs and Climate – Mrs Mona Keijzer – visited Woensdrecht Air Base. During this visit, both Secretaries became acquainted with the warehouse, where the logistic processes such as shipping and stock control for spare parts for the more than 400 European F-35’s is now in full preparation. Also, the close cooperation between Defense and the civil industry was highlighted.

During the visit, Aeronamic’s CEO, Steffen de Vries shared an update to both secretaries of State with regards to the activities related to the depot activation for the PTMS system and the role that Aeronamic plays in the maintenance ecosystem at Woensdrecht.

Steven Adriaansen, mayor of the cityhall Woensdrecht welcomed Aeronamic officially to the region and thanked Steffen for Aeronamic’s participation to the Aviolanda Businesspark

Aeronamic has been selected as the PTMS Sustainment Center for the F-35 Europe and Asia-Pacific based fleet. The sustainment activities will be executed by Aeronamic Services, our knowledge & Repair Center for PTMS maintenance, estimated to commence as early as 2019 to be located at Aviolanda Aerospace in Woensdrecht. Aeronamic worked in the sustainment selection process in close co-operation with the Ministries of Defense and Economic Affairs.
