A switch from casting to hog-out for complex aerospace components reduces cost, weight, supply chain risk and cycle time. Due to the ingenious computer and robot driven machining process, complex precision components can be manufactured in a very short time whilst improving quality. Hog-out parts are very strong structurally and expedite tight-tolerance and complex shapes along with total component weight – a huge advantage in our business.
Test articles and the initial manufacturing-engineering and production set-up will be carried out in our main facilities in Almelo, The Netherlands. Full parts manufacturing will be executed in our Engineering & Production satellite in Sibiu, Romania where extensive in-house manufacturing capability allows us the flexibility to mastermind the many machining requirements to support the complex precision components.
Complex Casting2Hog-out component
Horizontal/multi function machines with superior five-axis capability enable us to enhance our adaptability to tackle the toughest materials with the most complex surfaces coupled to holding extremely tight tolerances again. 5-axis machines for multitasking operations milling and turning of high tech quality machines help Aeronamic to further reduce machining production time and cut cost to a minimum.
Our new Mega Housings casting-to-hog-out programs include enhanced surface treatment and assembly for various aircraft platforms.
