NutationDampers

Aeronamic has a long history in the designing, manufacturing and testing of nutation dampers for use in spin-stabilized satellites where nutation must be eliminated in an initial stage for use as an ultra stable platform for experiments which require precise scanning to maintain rotation of the body about a constant axis without perturbations.

The design activities comprise functional analysis, reliability engineering, compliance verification, qualification tests. Vibration tests are outsourced to ESTEC. Aeronamic procures all parts through their extensive vendor base.
