Aeronamic holds licenses and risk and revenue sharing programs for the manufacture, supply and support of various air management subsystems.
Load compressors ("LC")
A load compressor is a subsystem of the Auxiliary Power Unit ("APU") and provides the aircraft with compressed air for use in cabin pressure and cabin air conditioning and to power the starter systems of the aircraft engines. Aeronamic holds design, manufacture and product support rights of two load compressor programs. Various aircraft types manufactured by Airbus and Boeing are equipped with our load compressors. We also supply load compressor spare parts and perform MRO activities.
Environmental Control System ("ECS")
Environmental Control Systems control the air circulation on board the aircraft. In the period 1988 through 1991 Aeronamic acquired several manufacturing licenses for the manufacture of different subsystems of the Fokker 70/100 ECS, such as refrigeration unit, air flow valves, thermostats, water separator and recirculation fans. When production of the Fokker aircraft stopped, Aeronamic continued to supply spare parts for these systems.
As a result of a manufacturing license, an entire Air Cooling Machine (ACM) manufacturing line at Honeywell was transferred to Aeronamic in 2002. Aeronamic produces Air Cooling Machines for several Airbus and Boeing aircraft, forming part of the refrigeration unit produced by Honeywell. As part of this program, Aeronamic supplies spare parts for a fleet of approximately 1,000 wide-body aircraft, such as the A310, the DC10 and the MD11.
Air Turbine Starters ("ATS")
Most commercial and military aircraft have ATS units to start the main engines. Aeronamic builds - under two manufacturing licenses - the starters for the Rolls-Royce Tay and BR 700 engines, which are used in Gulfstream and Bombardier large business aircraft, and regional jets.
